Broom Elements

Broom elements are a heavy-duty, fiber-reinforced solid rubber element designed for railroad Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment. Sometimes called a “whisker” these function as a replacement “whisker” on the broom reels of Kershaw and Knox Kershaw Ballast Regulators. These elements withstand extreme impacts to clear ballast from railway ties without damaging the underlying track infrastructure.
Also available in “Flared” for increased wear life and impact force of the broom
