Nose Skid Plate Regulator

The Nose Skid, Ballast Regulator, 7″, Chromium Carbide is a heavy-duty wear component designed for Knox Kershaw ballast regulator machines. These skids are engineered to withstand the high-abrasion environment of railway maintenance, featuring chromium carbide overlay for extended service life. Carbide overlay is applied along the entire length of the skid and on the bolt heads, with additional complex carbide reinforcement at bends for increased longevity.  Nose skids are supplied with four ½” diameter plow bolts held in place in countersunk bores with appropriate nuts and lock washers.
