8″ BROOM SWITCH. Also known as a track broom or snow broom, a Switch Broom is an invaluable tool for railroad maintenance. This durable model uses tough polypropylene bristles that can brush away mud, sand, dirt, snow, and other debris from switch points, switches, and flangeways in flush rail. A chisel tip is installed on the opposite side of the bristle end, allowing this switch broom to serve double-duty for small-scale scraping jobs, such as removing tough ice stuck to rails or other rail components. Cleans out flangeways in flush rail.
