Status: Rebuild completed April 2026

Services: The 200th unit, CN 2930, a GE ES44AC model 4400-horsepower mainline hauler, arrived at the MCR facility having sustained significant damage. The project required a rebuild of the locomotive’s structural integrity, mechanical and electrical systems.

MCR’s team of dedicated craftsmen spent months of precision labor to:

• Structural Restoration: Rebuild and reinforce every bent or torn piece of steel from the Cab to the Radiator section.
• Mechanical Overhaul: Perform a partial rebuild of the massive prime mover, addressing critical internal damage.
• Electrical Innovation: Validate all electrical systems while performing strategic OEM upgrades and updates to ensure the unit meets performance standards.
• Aesthetic Finishing: Apply a fresh, high-visibility paint job to match the mechanical excellence of the rebuild.
