Highlights: Aggregate anti-stripping

The MTO contracted Pioneer Construction to resurface a section of Highway 6, and the aggregate required anti-stripping treatment. We put a temporary storage tank and treatment unit on site. Based on the volume of aggregate traveling on the belt, we were able to adjust the dosing system so that a consistent 1 w/w% was applied as per the MTO requirement. The lime adheres very well to the surface of the aggregate, and because it’s a slurry, no dust was created.
